our bodies are made up of 5 main elements: physical health, spiritual health, mental/emotional health, social health & intellectual health. there is no way on our fine green earth that our norm should be to cater to our physical health when we get sick or have an injury but to neglect our mental/emotional health when we feel sad or just off.

this is why holistic health & practices are the basis of approach within my brand. this is why mental health drastically matters in general.

we all struggle with some sort of issue in each bodily aspect, & just because society has embedded negative, robotic conditioning in our everyday, doesn’t mean we have to accept it. let’s care more about loving & healing ourselves than staying stagnant in conformity to crippling societal constructs.

“Melanin Empath” book mentioned in my first #CatchDeesVibes vlog (https://www.instagram.com/p/CPOQBlgjG1x/).

if you’re interested in learning about the “powerful spiritual energy” melanin naturally gives us, this is the book for you. if you experience moments of being deeply “affected by the actions of others on a very emotional level,” or if you “feel waves of energy, be they positive or negative, when you walk into a room,” this is the book for you.

“Spiritual Growth- Being Your Higher Self” book by Sanaya Roman

i’ve actually had this book for a while now, but when i initially started reading it i felt i wasn’t in the right headspace to really receive all of what it was offering. at the time of purchasing the book from amazon, i knew i was starting to feel differently, but due to having so much going on, i didn’t believe i was ready to tap into my spirituality in the sense of discovering my inner powers to continue healing & reach my higher self. but now HUNTYYYY, i’m so excited to read this & the timing couldn’t be better, especially since it’s following the read of “Melanin Empath.”

i hope you all can check this book out sooner than later!! #Love&Light https://www.amazon.com/Spiritual-Growth-Being-Your-Higher/dp/091581112X/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=spiritual+growth&qid=1623990153&sr=8-1

“Juneteenth to me means a lot. When we think about the African Diaspora and the history rooted in America and freedom for African Americans, it serves a reminder that there are people before us that have fought for liberation. It shows that even after the emancipation proclamation was signed in 1863, African Americans still were not liberated. It redefined what liberation meant for the African American community here in the US. It showed that our liberation comes from us. Liberation lies within us and will not be formed from the current institutional structures we have in place for it never has.”

Fatimata Cham– activist & published poet

““The 4th of July was never about Black people. Juneteenth is just for us. As Black people, we are told we don’t deserve our own holidays rooted in our own history. Everything is whitewashed. Juneteenth is for us…Juneteenth symbolizes the hope that my children and grandchildren will be free. It’s Black Joy and Black tenacity to survive.”

#30DayGuidedMeditationChallenge

navigating through my spiritual journey of awakening myself into a holistic hippie means that i have internal traumas to process & heal through. i’m working on creating inner peace by building skills & strategies to maintain calmness. that all brings me to share this amazing guided meditation by the great self-help author, bob proctor. the first time i listened to it was yesterday, 06/22, & let me just say, IT HITS DIFFERENT!

y’all i’ve never had such a beautiful experience from meditating like the one i got from this one! so i’m challenging myself to do it everyday for the next 30 days, & i wanted to share it with you guys to encourage you all to tap into it, too. even if you don’t decide to devote to the 30-day challenge, i believe that after doing this guided meditation once or twice, you’ll feel a change within yourself & most likely want to do it frequently. #LoveAndLight

07/04/21 – It’s Juneteenth part 2 today!! Cause ain’t no independence day for me and my people! If you tapped into my vibe session on IG Live today, you know the topic revolved around the real as it pertains to racism, colorism, and ancestral trauma that stems from the historic and ongoing oppressions that Blacks have had to face since the beginning of time. I touched on a couple different therapeutic approaches during the Live, so I wanted to add some insight into therapy and help you guys understand it as a whole. I hope the videos below helps!

09/26/21 – “African Holistic Health” book, Llaila O. Afrika

another book reference! i started this book not too long ago so i’m not that far into it just yet. i just wanted to share it here with you all because i’ve already had lots of information to take away after only the first 20 pages.

super resourceful book if you’re interested in learning about herbal practices, ignorance in medicinal research, & holistic remedies & treatments that originated within african culture/melanated beings. check it out!!

Shadow Work!🦋 something you can’t skip out on doing when focusing on your spiritual growth & development. i recently became knowledgeable on what it is & am still learning how to apply it to my life through journaling. i explain shadow work in depth in a #CatchDeesVibes vibe session, but the following is a little summary. (check out the vibe session by viewing my #CatchDeesVibes tab here on my site, it was on 10/24/21!)

shadow work is a way of soul searching in order to learn & unlearn parts of yourself that you’ve kept hidden either intentionally or unintentionally. it’s called our “shadow” side because it’s typically viewed as the dark side of our personalities; but the great ~hidden~ part of it is that it’s not always a negative connotation attached to our shadow side. we all have had different life experiences that has shaped & developed this “dark” side to us, whether it be from trauma &/or the energies, behaviors, & attitudes we’ve gathered from our environments. but not all of these behaviors or traits of ourselves are negative or “dark” to be considered to be our shadow side.

it’s important to dig deep inside our shadow sides to be able to process & heal from hidden traumas that are indirectly &/or directly effecting you. when doing research on how to implement shadow work into my spiritual awakening journey, i came across this amazing self-care advocacy blogger website, https://seekingserotonin.com/shadow-work-journal-prompts/#journalprompts. feel free to click the link to be able to learn more! i personally resonated with the prompts she provided & use them when i’m shadow work journaling (i have a designated journal only used for shadow work to stay organized & this part of my journey separate from the others).

Meditative Music for Manifestation!

heyyy vibe tribe! here’s another youtube reference with manifesting & healing sound bowl properties. i listen to this one mainly when i’m journaling my manifestations or i’m doing scripting entries. i definitely recommend it, so check it out & let me know how you liked it!

01/15/22 – my #catchdeesvibes vibe session for tomorrow will be me going in depth about the powers behind meditation & the healing it provides to our mental & spiritual health. i also plan to touch on the powers of daily affirming yourself to help manifest & attract your desires you’re aiming to operate from. i wanted to share these few that i’ve been really resonating with here lately. if you’re interested in learning more about meditation & affirmations, email me @deesvibesllc@gmail.com, or dm me on my business instagram @deesvibesllc! #stayfocused #yougotthis #intentionalmovesonly #loveandlight #peaceandabundance #loveyours

high vibrational energy video!!

if you know, you know! abraham hicks is an amazingly inspirational “law of attraction” advocate and educator who i’ve been studying for some time now! i listen to this video whether i’m in need of motivation or not, because it really does hold high vibrational energy that puts you in a space of BEING & FEELING the energy of what you’re attracting.

the key is to embody the feeling & believe it to already be true, & watch how the universe works with you! sending love & peace 🙂

08/21/23 – this has become one of my favorite guided meditations here lately, so of course i wanted to share it with my vibe tribe!!

this meditation helps me focus my energy on loving myself & remembering the importance of taking the best care of myself. i plan to share my entire story of my recent car accident, but it has been one of the most traumatic experiences i’ve had to recover from, & a lot of the aftermath stems from beating myself up to the max! so when i say i can attest to this meditation truly helping in ways it intends to, i mean it wholeheartedly!
