resources

our amazing bodies are made up of 5 main health elements: physical, spiritual, mental/emotional, social, & intellectual health. although the amerikkkan society does an excellent job at normalizing the neglect of your health, we have to choose to love ourselves with deeper intentions by deciding to normalize catering to & prioritizing our health on all levels. we don’t have to conform & accept the systematic, robotic conditioning in our everyday lives. we don’t have to be stagnant in conformity to crippling societal constructs. the following resources are meant to help inspire your self-love & inner healing. i hope it does just that.

shadow work + journal prompts

shadow work is a way of soul searching in order to learn & unlearn parts of yourself that you’ve kept hidden either intentionally or unintentionally. it’s called our “shadow” side because it’s typically viewed as the dark side of our personalities; but the great ~hidden~ part of it is that it’s not always a negative connotation attached to our shadow side.

we all have had different life experiences that has shaped & developed this “dark” side to us, whether it be from trauma &/or the energies, behaviors, & attitudes we’ve gathered from our environments. but not all of these behaviors or traits of ourselves are negative or “dark” to be considered to be our shadow side.

it’s important to dig deep inside our shadow sides to be able to process & heal from hidden traumas that are indirectly &/or directly effecting you. when doing research on how to implement shadow work into my spiritual awakening journey, i came across this amazing self-care advocacy blogger website, https://seekingserotonin.com/shadow-work-journal-prompts/#journalprompts. feel free to click the link to be able to learn more! i personally resonated with the prompts she provided & even allowed it to inspire me to curate a list of personal shadow work journal prompts which are listed below for you.
